A Walk To Forget

Absence   ·   Bare trees   ·   Burning rain   ·   Drug   ·   Embraced by the moonlight   ·   Familiar eyes   ·   Footprints   ·   Forever   ·   I hate everyone   ·   I know nothing of the love   ·   I woke again   ·   I won't speak   ·   If I have to take all the blame   ·   Laying here with you   ·   My heart always seems devoted   ·   Remember   ·   Reruns   ·   Rose   ·   Separated by emptiness   ·   Sometimes you can't see   ·   Worrisome
Bare trees
I was staring at the bare trees today
The empty branches set against the white background
Slowly swaying back and forth in the wind
But I'm inside and can't hear a sound
It's a wonder how beautiful things can be
But seem so distant from reality
Today I noticed how beautiful the trees look
I wonder how many more beautiful things pass by me
Sure I notice the trees when it snows
The horizon when it glows
The beauty of a rose
Or a water fall when it flows
But what about the everyday beauty
That only belongs in a dream
The marvels that stare me in the eye everyday
But still seems to go unseen
I think I notice the subtle now
Because everything around here seems so ugly
I guess I took the beauty for granted
Because everything by me was touched by beauty when you were by me
You're not now and haven't been for awhile
So now I only see other beauties because I need to
So when you come back and they seem to fade away
I can remember then to share with you
