The Basics

     Here are some Basic, and I mean Basic, concepts about Horse- handling in general. I place alot of emphasis on the Basics- the foundations- of working with Horses, or any other large animal, because it is an inherently dangerous thing. There is NO replacement for Common Sense, Basic Knowledge, and Awareness, ( and, when necessary, Agility and darned good Reflexes !) Face it, your Horse is bigger than you are !!
