It seems we take it granted ,the music form of jazz and blues, just happens to be around us and we like it. In fact the origin of jazz and blues based on one, ethnic group living under very drastic conditions. First under archaic slavery oppression, these people bringing African rhytim, melody, traditions and mixed them with church music, Irish folk music, marching band music, sprituals and work songs. The music was a healing medicine for their souls, they have courage to improvise. Still most distint part of jazz, this adventure of improvization is a realy a great adventure, I listened the same tune eleven times with different sytle all was great. This music of the sons of Southern blacks spread to cities like Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Europe, Russia, Japan and the world. | ||||||||||||||||

Can you belive one ethnic group, American blacks under drastic poverty conditions and racisim created this music without any traditonal training and fashinoble schools or expensive teachers, and the music became World Class music. There are sad chapters in the history of music, some critizied Jazz, as immoral music, destroying the the young genaration. Recording and performing was very limited. When whites began to make money and participate the music became acceptable even after many painfull years until recently fameous jazz performer's white crew separeted from black crew at porch hotels. Blues suffered same conditions. Even jazz and blues are the source of many popular music forms like, rock, country, even classic music is higly effected by these. Even fameous European rock and popular music performers visited these negleted Afro American musicians. Origins were not known. Even my some of my black friends are not interested with blues. Eric Clapton and others brought the blues to everybody s attention. Ironicially Jazz is now accepted as elite music. Now everybody knows JAZZ and BLUES all around the world. In fact how poor blacks from the South of USA created these beautifull soul enriching tunes is a tru miracle of human and community sprit and wonderfull lesson to primitive minds limited by racism and prejudice.
