Dear Readers,

Welcome to my portfolio. My name is Xia Fang Chen, but you can also call me Patty or Pat. Now I’m fifteen years old and a 10^th grade student. I come from China to America, a few years ago. I can speak Chinese, Mandarin, English and Taiwanese. I am also trying to learn Spanish or French after I have finished learning Chinese.

I came to America to receive a good education that my parents wanted for me. My interests are collecting all kinds of different things such as seashells, coins and stamps. I also like to read books, write poems, draw pictures and travel to places. I don’t like to talk and I am shy, too. I am usually quiet. I also have a goal for my future. My dream is to be a successful fashion designer, and have a husband that loves me. I want to use the money that I earn to take care of my family. We can all live together in a peaceful place.

I have a huge family. I have seven people in my family including me. They are my father, mother, grandmother, two sisters and my brother. In my family, I love my grandma the most. Of course I love her as she loves me. She is my guardian angel and also when I need help she is always there for me. However, if I am bad, lazy or not, my family loves me as much as I love them. I will do anything for my family.
