Love To Fight
People were crowding at the entry of the court. Reporters were everywhere. Finally the lawyer came out, then followed some policemen and a boy who was handcuffed. A case has been going on, and how it was over. The now the victim. A boy who was in a gang for no reason injured the victim. And now the lawyer won the case and the gangster would be going to jail for 17 years.
The woman lawyer stared as the gangster stepped into the police car. And then the police car sped away. The lawyer could see the hatred in the eyes of the gangster. She began to walk away. She heard a voice behind her. "Mandy!" she looked back and saw her husband and her daughter. Her husband, Dan, was taking care of Christine, their daughter while she worked in her office everyday. He always stayed at home, doing the household chores and taking care of Christine. Her husband didn't work well in other jobs. He was only good at household work. So Mandy was the only one who could support the family with money. And Dan take care the family and everything.
Mandy could see that Dan had waited for her a long time. She was heading back to her office. She knew that Dan wanted to see how she was doing in the case. Mandy told him, "I'm okay, you can go back home with Christine." Mandy could see that he was hurt by her words. Mandy didn't mean to hurt him. She knew that he loved her and she also loved him, too. But Mandy wanted Dan not to be like a woman. She wanted Dan to be more like a man. A few seconds passed by, Dan turned and brought Christine away.
Mandy went back to her office. Before she reached her office, two hands grabbed her from behind. She was startled by the action. She tried to scream help, but the hands stopped her from saying anything. She was about to faint, then the two hands let go of her. She blinked and stared hard at the person who have just grabbed her. She saw two men. One was familiar. She realized that it was Dan and the other one was a boy. Mandy thought that she had seen the boy before. Then she remembered, it was the gangster's friend. The boy had come for her for revenge on getting his friend in jail. She was scared.
Then a weird thing happened. The boy didn't attack her anymore. In fact, he was greeting Dan with respect. Mandy then realized that this was a way of greeting between gangsters and their bosses. Dan was telling the boy not to hurt his wife again. And if the boy does it again, he won't let him go easily. At that time, Mandy feels although Dan acts like a woman, he really is a man. Mandy really regrets how she treated Dan as a woman. After the talking, Dan came up to her and said, "I didn't mean to come to your office. I just wanted to ask you if you want to come home to eat dinner tonight. I'm going to cook your favorite steak." Mandy smiled, "I will come home right now. Besides I'm thinking of cooking for you to eat instead of you cooking for me." Dan smiled and they walk together home with Little Christine.
