Step Outside

So little boy, you think you're a man.
Proving to the world - if you can.
That you really are all grown up.
Yet, you don't know the meaning of corrupt.
Nor do you know of love, or of trust.
For all of these things are surely a must.
You have no experience with the world outside.
There will be choices, things to decide.
Y ou have no knowledge of cold orhunger.
Yet you insist you're smarter, though younger.
We will soon se how smart and how brave.
You will soon live all this knowledge you crave.
So prove to the world that you are a man.
Step outside...go on...live
if you can.
The Bottle
As I sit staring inot this bottle
Wondering why it's always me.
Doesn't anyone care, perhaps just a little
It's not enough to simply be.
The tears come from inside.
But I say it's from the wine.
No one knows how much I've lied.
Happiness the smile nothing but line.
The heart seems empty no matter.
The bottle loves enough for two.
Given my choice I would rather
Trade the bottle for time with you.
The more I drink, in the bottle I see,
Reflections distorted, but none the less true
A mirror image of only me.
In pain drinking to forget you.
Frustration
When things start getting you down
And it feels like the whole world is on you.
When you feel like screaming, but something
is stopping you. And you just don't know
how to handle the world anymore.
When you're tired of everyone and everything.
And you can't take it anymore.
You're down on everyone, so it feels like
everyone is down on you.
When your patience run low and
your blood pressure runs high.
There is no sure cure for this disease,
one one thing is for sure, there is a cure.
I think it's this:
When you take it in stride
and don't blow your pride.
Keep it calm and cool.
And have faith, just faith
that it will all be alright.
And you be able to deal
And then, be able to heal.
Hudson High School
In the crowded halls of Hudson high
You really can't help but sigh.
People slam you into walls
going down the science halls.
They move you up and move you down.
Until you feel like you're on the ground.
You call to your friend down the hall
You push you shove, but then you fall.
The people step all over you.
What on earth can you do.
You make your way off the floor
Yuo start to head for your classroom door.
Only one minute to get to class
Otherwise you'll need a pass.
You're almost there, you think you'll make it.
You're just out side the fated door
And drop your pen on the hallway floor
As you bend to pick it up the bell rings
What awful fate.
You walk through the door ,
The teacher looks up , and says.
"You're Late!"
