A cure
for heartache (Version of a poem in Berber by Sidi Rabia Ait Sidi Amar) Leigheas ar chrá croí (Leagan de dhán as Berber le Sidi Rabia Ait Sidi Amar) |
The peaks of the high
mountains lie between me and my dear friends. Is not the road long and dangerous if their help were required. O God, make smooth the way before me so that I may feast my eyes upon those true friends who regularly ask for news of me: that way my sickness will be cured without the use of medicines and spells. |
Beanna arda na sléibhte idir mise is mo chairde ionúine. Nach fada iomardúil an bóthar dá mbeadh a gcabhair ag teastáil. Réitigh an bealach dom, a Dhia, go bhféadfaidh mé lán mo dhá shúl a bhaint as na cairde dílse a chuireann mo thuairisc go rialta: mar sin a leigheasfear mo thinneas gan úsáid cógais ná ortha. |
