This photo was taken in Hill's field - the field near the farmhouse and the main road out of the town towards Tinahealy - by my father. My sister Éilís is second from the left and I am on the extreme right. Mary 'Bertie' Byrne stands behind my sister and May Brien is next to her. I'm not sure who owned the greyhound. The kneeling boy is, I think, Liam Byrne. The girl wearing a beret is a Dempsey and the boy beside her is, I think, Paddy Byrne. |
