Born into poverty in Paris, France, I entered this world in 1778. Beaten by my Father and largely ignored by my Mother, I grew up wild in the streets, became a survivor by picking pockets and at an early age organized a gang of guttersnipes to do what I deemed necessary to survive. As an adult I gained employment as a Doorman for some of the more rowdy establishments in the district and rubbed shoulders with the great artists of the time, Renoir, Monet, Degas, it was also there that I became friends with the young revolutionaries who would rise up in one of the bloodiest civil wars in modern history. Among the revolutionaries was the Kindred Marguerite Foccart, a well known actress and a Brujah progeny of the legendary Robin Leland. As Robin saw in her, Marguerite saw in me a hunger and a strength that could be used to her advantage. Once embraced, I of course rebelled against the role that Marguerite had laid out for me and after a near fatal confrontation, I went overseas. This move proved fortuitous for it was there, in New York City that I meet Jeremy McNeil. In McNeil I found something I had never possessed before, friendship. McNeil and I soon found ourselves forced westward by the ever expanding Ventrue empire and the sabbatt encroachment from the south. We soon found ourselves in L.A. where our paths diverged. McNeil soon found himself the focal point of the great Anarch outcry, where-as I preferred a life of obscurity, happy enough in the knowledge that at last I was my own man. Recent events, the assassination of McNeil, the bloodhunt by the new Prince, the incursion of new Brujah faces have forced me into the spotlight, while I try to avenge my friends death, drive out the Prince, create a free state for the Brujah. Finally.... after all is complete... back to the shadows I will return, content again. |
