As I sit staring out my window at the street below thoughts of you come to mind It's so quiet here, no sound at all But there is a noise I'd like to find A tiny knock upon my door and your voice from the other side Is this too much to ask I wonder whispers a little voice from inside I'd open the door with a hug and kiss and bid you please come in We'd laugh and talk the hours away just you and I my friend I'd make us dinner by candle light and we'd listen to a favorite song The world could remain outside for now tell me is that so wrong We'd talk about times we've had or those we wish to share One look into my deep blue eyes and you'd know that I really care But alas this is just a dream surely one I wish were true So I sit here at my window hopeing for a glimpse of you |
