On October 10, 1998, we lost our dear Norm.
This was indeed a very traumatic experience for all of the family.
Losing Norm was like losing a family member..even though he didn't
like us all that much. Yes he killed the goat friend I bought
him...yes he broke my kneecap and yes...he held the neighbors
hostage in their garage for 3 hours when he got loose. But, through
all of this, it never made Norm what you'd call a "bad" goat. He allowed all of us one goat hug in the morning when he
woke..and no, although he didn't like my cow, he didn't kill that
also.(pic below).
Norm is now in animal heaven...(I hope). We
put him in the truck for the ceremonial ride to the crematorium
(and the drive thru at the bank)..the teller not knowing what
to say, looking at us with tears in our eyes and Norm, partially
exposed in the back of the truck. Needless to say, we got no lolipops
that day..just a nervous smile and thank you. (Okay..I HAD to
go the bank..crematrioum only took cash).
