Psst! Buffy Secrets
Note: These are NOT spoilers. Just a few behind-the-scenes things.

(1) The love scenes aren't as passionate as you may think.

"When you see it on screen, it's lit really beautifully and they've got this nice music playing so it looks so romantic, but people
don't see how stale it is when it's really happening," David says. "I mean, there's a camera man or a production guy sitting in the
corner munching on a doughnut."

(2) David's best friend on the show is Nicholas Brendon, who plays
Xander.

The first thing David does after getting some breakfast (which is usually a couple of eggs, by the way) is gab with Nick. "Then
we'll rehearse a few scenes and I'll come back and talk to Nick. Rehearse some more, come back and talk to Nick. Nick and
I hang out a lot!"

(3) It takes about an hour to put on David's vampire mask and
makeup.

"There's this small mask that fits from my forehead down to the bridge of my nose. I'm laying down when they put it on and
then they kind of prop you up and you see yourself in the mirror and you're a different person. The first time it was done, I
wanted to go to the mirror and be like, 'Is that really you? What's happening here?' It was very strange."
