Wide World of Wrestling



The sport "wrestling" has been around since the roman times but it is nothing compared to what we know of today. The Wrestling I am talking about is the one we see on TV today. This is what I call wrestling. To me no other sport has become so popular in such a small amount of time. About sixty years ago this TV wrestling came about after WW2, and was a big hit at the time. after a while it became old and sort of died out and was only seen in a few places.

but after a while it came back and started to get bigger and bigger. In the seventy's is when it get bigger with wrestlers like "Andre the Giant", who was a 7'5" monster that was pretty much unstopable, The "iron sheik", and "Terry Bolba" (who we know today as Hulk Hogan).

Then Man by the name of Vince Macmahon bought a wrestling organization and called it the "World Wrestling Federation", or WWF. after this happen other wrestling organizations began poping up and wrestling hit all over the US and is now the most watch show in America today.
