Children of the River

Introduction

In this novel you were introduced to many characters of different backgrounds and beliefs. This project will help to you examine the novel's characters more closely.

Task

Create a "Hall of Fame" brochure that includes 6 characters in your novel.

The Process

1. Select 6 characters from your novel and create a web for each that includes the following information:

· Physical characteristics

· Personal qualities

· Talents and Abilities

· Background/history

· An interesting life experience

2. Create a page for each character that includes a sketch and at least 3 paragraphs about the character. (Use the information you brainstormed in your webs)

3. Select a quote from the story that illustrates each character's personality and include them on the appropriate page.

4. Create a "Children of the River Hall of Fame" cover and index.

How you will be Graded:

· Your product meets the task criteria

· Hall of Fame is largely computer generated (Font 12 - 14)

· Evidence of research

· Evidence of revision and editing

· Attempt to create a unique, informational and creative project
