A Mother's Love

When everything is fine and our worlds all right,
The sky above us is clear and bright,
Were apt to forget for a moment or two,
The one who loved, when our world was blue.

When our hearts are light and free from worry,
Then we are always in a hurry,
To enjoy our good luck.. To laugh while we may,
And give little thought to yesterday.

But when that happy smile turns in to a frown,
All our fair weather friends turn us down,
There is still one person, who will understand,
As she offers us a helping hand.

When our joys are taken, we rush to her arms,
Where sadness is replaced by the charms,
Of one who listens and will honestly care,
One who will take our troubles to share.

She can see no evil in our thoughts or deeds.
She works to fulfill each of our needs,
At times we wonder how her faith can be wise
. Yet there it remains.. deep in her eyes.

Though standing as tall and much stronger than she,
A laughing child is what her eyes see,
And regardless of what our past record shows...
.. A mothers love is all that she knows.
