Little Tommy Triplet

Little Tommy Triplet,
Will you tell me something please..
If you answer me just right,
Ill give you a kiss and a great big squeeze.
This question may be tough,
For a little boy like you,
But I happen to know that youre pretty smart,
     For being just past two

I know youre sort of tired,
Cause youve played hard all day,
And its round about time for the sand-man
To come and take you away.
But Id like to hear those words
     As you climb into bed..
Whisper them to me before you touch the pillow,
     With your sleepy head.

Im watching your large brown eyes
     And wondering what you think.
Up go your lips in the sweetest smile
And there, you just threw me a wink.
I have wanted to know this Tommy,
     Ever since your birth..
I asked you how much you loved me
     But why did you answer:
          Two-bits worth?
