To the person I won't name who wrote on her site that Eram and Narcasse are gay (I won't believe it until I see it) and who says that makes them attractive, I say SHAME ON YOU! This isn't being gay, this is being a PEDOPHILE, this is taking advantage of a child, which is, if I may say so, disgusting. End of argument. Eram is a slave boy who, after his parent's death, got taken care of by his master, Narcasse, who paid for his freedom (slaves can buy back their freedom, often for impossible amounts of money), and taught him that all men are created equal. In exchange for his kindness, Eram serves Narcasse and leaves with him in his banishment. Eram, whose only family left is the one he still calls 'master', takes very badly the intrusions of Alfreed in their lives, and the way she is trying to take his place, by serving Narcasse.
