bean's life

the updates

I now happily work at Vesta. It's a medical supply company. We make silicone medical products. NO not THOSE silicone medical products although I'm told we used to make penile implants. I'm feeling pretty secure there. People know what I'm talking about, and I'm a good worker. I show up and I'm not as dumb as a rock. They've even promoted me a bit. I'm looking to take over the department when our lead retires in a year or two. Sweet.

From 1997 to 1999, I attended UW Waukesha to improve my life. And my last semester there, I had the honor of receiving Departmental Honors in English which was quite an honor considering not every department hands out honors each year. I got a little award and had to stand on stage while they said nice things about me. I was hoping to also be receiving an Associates of Arts and Science Degree, but it appears I screwed up. I didn't have the right science classes : p . And as most setbacks do, I just threw away those plans and got myself a full-time job at Vaportek. It's assembly and runs from 6 am to 2 pm. I still have time to write, draw, raise the kids - and that's a GREAT thing. Of course then they decide that it's a man's world out there and that I shouldn't be doing a man's job. So I told them to shove it.

I wanted a degree before I began surfing for my job in editing. One day I hope to be editing books for people like Stephen King and Dean Koontz. But if I went that route, I'd more than likely be stuck here editing the Waukesha Freeman! : ( And now that I've had a taste, I kinda like my working and being mommy. I can always have dreams though for when they grow older. I also have more than enough on my plate right now. I'm always editing everything anyone does now anyways.

One day I will meet my heroes from Def Leppard. Until then I will just have to keep listening to their music. And they BETTER keep puttin it out!
