Prelude in Sunset After Ophelia

Though upon first listening this piece may sound a little like a synthesizer piece, the musical source material for this CDR was actually two different recordings of Claude Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun.” I cut and pasted, processed and rearranged the material to tell my own musical story, which is dually inspired by Debussy and Shakespeare – hence the Prelude (Debussy) and Ophelia coming from the character in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” The scene I imagined for this work was that Ophelia has drowned herself, but her consciousness still lingers over the sight of her death, haunts the memory which others hold of her, reflects and fades gradually like the sunset over her watery grave.

** Due to complaints, I've had to black out some of the artwork, which contains some mild (R-rated) nudity (not porn). Sorry for this. The artwork contains art-photography which displays the female form and was designed by Luigui Mennella. For further information or to order a copy (that is, if he's not completely out of them) please go Luigi's website.
