Chapter 6
The Unknown Can Suck
I felt a slight shock that sent me falling to the ground.
"Andrea! Are you okay?"
"Fine. Just didn't know what to expect. Just a little shock. C'mon, your turn." I explained, trying to flatten my hair back down.
He hesitated but jumped eventually. He managed to stay on his feet but I saw him jerk as he crossed the line. We looked
around the garage, trying to decide what to do next.
"There has to be a door somewhere, the robot doesn't just stay here all the time, does it?" I asked.
"Actually, it's a robot. It probably does." Frederick pointed out.
"Great! So that shock was for nothing! Now I have to get another one on the way out!" I complained.
"Hey! Get over here!" Frederick screamed as he grabbed my hand and pulled me to the back of the garage. Just in time too,
the robot drove the machine in and emptied the blueberries in the hole in the wall again. I watched it, then my face lit up. I
wondered if Frederick was thinking the same thing I was.
"Think I'd fit?" asked Frederick.
"Only one way to find out!" I confessed.
"Ladies first." he said.
"What a gentleman." I said, and walked over to the hole. It was pitch black and completely silent. My mind started to race
with all sorts of possibilities as to what might be down there. Monsters, more robots. Nothing could have prepared me for
what really lay ahead. I looked back at Frederick.
"Fred, I went first last time. This time it's your turn."
"Maybe we could both fit?"
It did look big enough. I think that was the best idea. So I held his hand and we looked down in the huge blackness. I
swung my legs over the side and so did Frederick. We looked at each other again, and he squeezed my hand. I squeezed his
back, then slipped over the side with him.
