Dana Was a precious gift which God shared with us for 15 wonderful years..................

It is important that her life be remembered.

Dana was born with a rare disease, Neuroaxonal Dystrophy.
She fought this disease with every bit of strength she had.

She never allowed it to stop her from doing anything.

We never treated her as a handicapped child.

She never acted like a handicapped child.

She lived each day to the fullest...

She Was disABLED... and we focused on the "ABLED", not the "dis"

She loved everyone unconditionally...

She had a wonderful sense of humor... and used it to add great joy to the lives of all who knew her.

My name is Pam and I use the handle Msedukator on the internet. I had the honor of being her mother.

Her life was like a rollercoaster ride, with ups, and downs, thrills, and chills, fast and furious, and most of all FUN!!

We all enjoyed the ride, and WHAT A WONDERFUL RIDE IT WAS!!

She was the center of our family life.
Everything we did, thought, and loved revolved around her.

Her Dad and I, along with her 2 younger sisters, Kelly and Jayci, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends have had a hard time refocusing our lives, and going on.

We are trying to continue to live by the example she set for us:

To look for the good in people!
To always find a way to be happy!
It is OK to be a "Little Stinker" every once and awhile!
And.... live each day to the fullest.

Her favorite song was Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World"

This Midi file can be found here.
They have a wonderful collection of all kinds of music.

Dana loved balloons.....
Everyone sent balloons instead of flowers, when she died. At the cemetery, we played "What a Wonderful World", and released literally hundreds of balloons...
It was raining, and no one thought they would rise, but, those little angel wings took them spiraling up in the most beautiful pattern...
Swirling... Just breathtaking... I never really believed in miracles until then...
Now, I do...

If you would like a small idea of what our life
with Dana was like, see the images below. They are taken from a wonderful site of cartoons about what life is like for and with the disabled.

Thanks to: John Lytle at www.dizabled.com for the gif images that are so perfect.

We have such wonderful memories to cherish!
We Miss You, Dana......

You enriched the lives of all who knew you.....
....For nothing loved is never lost,
...and she was loved so much!
....Love, Mama, Papa, Kelly, and Jayci
