Part 1 (January 2000):  God, was there ever a girl so unhappy as me...?
This is Arisa's thought as the tough girls(led by Matsuda) at her high school pick on her at lunch, scaring her into going to the convenience store and buying them dessert.  The other students look on and Super Deformed Arisacomment, and one boy is silent.  Arisa recalls that she's been picked on for years.  Her parents move around Japan often because of their work, and wherever she goes, she always ends up the target for bullies.  On her way from the store, Arisa tells herself to fight, that no matter how hard it is, if she keeps trying, one day her prince will appear, and- suddenly, a voice shouts out "MOVE!" and a bicycle wheel runs into her.  The owner of the bike, a handsome, dark-haired boy tells her not to stand in the middle of the school entrance, and calls her 'dara'.  He then tells his pet dog, Totomaru, not to eat the dessert as it's bad for him.  Arisa is dismayed that what she bought is gone, but when the boy tries to apologize, she is so timid she says it's no problem and even apologizes herself!  The boy finally really looks at her, and starts to ask if she...but when he sees how scared she is, he lets it go and leaves.  Arisa wonders about him for a moment, thinking he couldn't be a student at her school.  She realizes that she's late for afternoon class, and when she gets back is told by the teacher to stay after for yard cleaning.
As she is doing this, she again reflects on how unhappy she is, and wonders when her prince is going to appear.  A voice interrupts her, and Inogami Yuuki, a blond-haired boy, says her job looks hard, and he'll help her.  Arisa observes that he's the only one in class that's nice to her, and though he has a pretty face, he's very popular with girls.  She wonders why he bothers with her.  He asks if she's alright with the bullying, and wonders if he should tell the teacher, but Arisa says she's used to it, and it's her own fault for not saying anything.  Inogami agrees, but asks her if she isn't really stronger than that?...A blackboard eraser falls on Arisa, sent from Matsuda, and stops her from thinking about that one very long.
After school, Arisa is at home with her older brother, Iyo(who is also very cute^_^), and he asks what happened to her clothes, but she avoids the question and goes into the bath.  They live alone since their parents are so busy.  There, she considered that though she had dreaded graduating from this high school, maybe it won't be so bad with Inogami there.  After her bath, Arisa asks her brother if 'dara' means idiot, and where it's from, and Iyo says he thinks it's from Shimane, where they lived about 5 years ago.  Arisa says for some reason she can't really remember that, and it confirms Iyo's belief that she doesn't have any memory from then, and thinks back to that time, when, in contrast to now, Arisa was a huge bully, keeping her classmates under her control, until one day, her brother accidentally knocked her down some stairs, whereupon she hit her head, lost her memory, and flipped her personality, becoming a crybaby.  Iyo silently apologizes to Arisa, giving her dinner and suggesting that she go to bed and forget all the bad things.
The next day, a transfer student from Shimane comes to Arisa's class, and it's the boy from the day before, Yashiro Akina!  Arisa is apprehensive when the teacher suggests he sit next to Arisa, calling her by her full name, but is totally alarmed when he grabs her, saying as he thought, she IS that Arisa!  He tells her not to play dumb, and says because of her...Inogami steps in, brushing Akina's hand from Arisa and saying she is frightened.  Arisa is impressed and thankful, but when the teacher tells them all to sit down and for Arisa to share her textbooks with Akina, she's scared again, and wonders who in the world he is.
At the end of the period, Inogami gives Akina textbooks, saying he borrowed them from a friend, and now, Arisa doesn't have to share hers.  Akina thanks him, but asks why, and Inogami says they're from the same town?!
Arisa finds Inogami in the hall and tries to thank him, but he says when she's hassled by not only Super Deformed InogamiMatsuda, but the transfer student, it's too much, and tells her if she ever needs his help to ask.  Arisa is ecstatic, and wonders if he is her saviour prince, but Matsuda rudely stopd her musing, telling her not to get cocky.  They say she shouldn't get so much attention, and a big henchgirl says it's irritating.
Back at the classroom, Iyo arrives, saying Arisa forgot something.  Akina notices and listens to the class girls explain that Arisa went to the roof with Matsuda and her friends.
On the roof, Matsuda tells Arisa how annoying she is, always waiting for someone to help her, and states that Inogami just feels pity for her.  Iyo is on his way, feeling trouble, but Akina passes him and arrives in time to see Matsuda push Arisa.  Arisa thinks that she doesn't like being helpless either, and, falling toward the stairwell, supposes that a prince never arrives, and God never really helps her...she has noone to help her but herself!  Something clicks, and she does an acrobatic leap, landing safely.  Matsuda is puzzled at this, but Akina feels foreboding.  Standing up, Arisa takes out her ponytails and murmurs that when one is meek, people take total advantage.  She declares that she will teach them what happens when she is angered.  Iyo asks if she's alright, but a now defiant Arisa announces that she isn't the crybaby Arisa, who is at present sleeping inside her, but the other, appearing for the first time in years.  Matsuda says she's tired of this garbage, and orders her large thug girl to take Arisa out, but Arisa easily throws her, laughing at how futile it is.  Matsuda decides to escape, but Arisa catches her, commenting that the other Arisa doesn't seem to realize her existence, but she's been watching events from her eyes the whole time, seeing Matsuda's treatment of her.
In the yard, students exclaim that someone seems to have bungee jumped off the roof, Arisa having suspended Matsuda from there.  Arisa lists several desserts, and orders Matsuda's henchgirls to fetch them within 2 minutes or Matsuda's rope will be cut.  Iyo protests but Arisa commands him to be quiet.  Akina demands her recognition now, saying she can't pretend not to recognize him now that she's shown her true self. Arisa coyly agrees, calling him her underling #764, Crybaby Akina-chan.  He flushes with anger, and tells her to shut up when she reminds him of the time she chased him with a worm and led him to fall into a trap.  He says he's not like that anymore, and when she recalls another time when a rabbit made him cry he tells her to stop bringing up ancient history.  Iyo weakly tries to stop their squabbling when Akina's dog Totomaru appears and heads for Arisa.  She stops and shoos him away, but he jumps at her and she falls.  When she opens her eyes, the meek Arisa has appeared again.  She doesn't realize what happened, but Akina doesn't buy it, continuing that he's looked for her all these years, transferring from school to school, until the day before, when he received a letter telling him of Arisa's whereabouts.  He remarks that he doesn't know and doesn't care who sent it or why, only that he came for revenge.  Behind them, the roof door opens and a shadowy person(looks like Inogami) declares with satisfaction that he has finally encountered Arisa

Part 2(February 2000): This will be really short.  Akina tries to show Arisa that he isn't the same crybaby anymore by excelling in everything(sports, school, even cooking and cleaning), but Arisa doesn't understand since she's back to meek Arisa.  Akina gets upset because he thinks it's an act, and Super Deformed Akinasays he can't be satisfied with the situation.  He suggests that she's acting meek for Inogami to like her, and says that's even worse, she wasn't a person who would change for a boy before.  Inogami's fan club gets mad at Arisa for being near him a lot and try to bully her with a big gorilla-looking guy, but at the last moment she turns into Arisa and beats him easily.  Of course, Akina, Inogami, and her brother show up, and Inogami doesn't seem surprised at the personality difference.  Akina grabs Arisa and demands an apology for what Arisa did to him as a child(see Extra Story below) but Arisa comments on how cute he is when he's angry, and kisses him!  He lets go of her in shock, and she says he's still not up to her weight.  In the silence that follows, Totomaru jumps on Arisa and she changes back, remembering nothing again.  She sees the people around and checks their reactions.  She is surprised when Inogami suddenly turns and walks away silently.
Outside the school gates, a kendo guy checks a sheet with Arisa's name and school on it, (similar to the one Akina received) confirming that this is the right school...

Part 3 (March 2000):  Iyo has finally explained the situation behind Arisa's personality change, and Arisa is freaking out about having kissed Akina in front of Inogami.  Akina gets annoyed and tells her to stop crying, saying it doesn't suit the other Arisa's face to do that.  The other Arisa is full of confidence and without fear, someone who causes goosebumps in other people rather than experiencing them.  Akina says he wants to make Arisa admit that he's a better man than she is by fighting fair and square.  Arisa wishes she had at least half of Akina's strength, and thinks it's terrible that the guy she likes, Inogami, had a firsthand view of her kissing another guy.  The next day when she comes face to face with Inogami, she runs away in shame, thinking "Sayonara, my first love!"  but is stopped from leaving the classroom by the kendo guy cutting  a desk in half, narrowly missing her.  He says he's come to settle things with her all the way from Kumamoto.  Arisa runs to the teacher, who introduces him as the new transfer student, Kikuchi Momota.
After school, Arisa tells her brother what happened, who remembers the boy as Momo-chan.  He says Arisa battled with him in Kumamoto for the title od strongest and won.  Arisa says that's not enoug h reason for him to chase her all the way here, and Iyo agrees, but is cut off before explaining by Momota.  He challenges Arisa but Inogami suddenly appears, saying he shouldn't challenge girls.  Arisa quickly leaves, still embarrassed about facing Inogami, thinking that if she really is this horrible person who is hated by lots of people, she has no right to be treated nicely by Inogami.  She comes upon TOtoamaru, who is being bullied by a big cat.  She saves him but is about to be attacked by the cat when Akina shows up and saves her.  He gets mad at her, saying she shouldn't be putting herself is dangerous positions when she's so weak, but admits that she's stronger than he thought before.  He tells her that if she's strong enough to do that, she shouldn't run away from Inogami, but tell him straight that yesterday's kiss was a mistake. Arisa agrees happily and runs off to find Inogami. Akina wonders why he bothered to help Arisa.
Totomaru-Akina's dog     Later, Akina finds out from Momota that he found his way to the school the same way Akina did, having received an anonymous paper with Arisa's school name on it.  Akina thinks that if Momota got one as well as him, other people with grudges against Arisa might show up as well.  Akina considers that Arisa isn't her 'normal' self right now, and she might lose to Momota or someone as it is now.  Akina wants to be the first to beat her, so he challenges Momota himself, telling him that before he can challenge Arisa, he has to beat him.
Arisa, looking for Inogami, finds her brother and Totomaru, Iyo having drawn bushy eyebrows on Totomaru to make him more intimidating(do we see a trend?^_^)  As she's calling him an idiot, she overhears students talking about a fight between the two new transfer students.  When she arrives at the schoolyard, Akina is putting up a good fight but losing to the more experienced Momota in kendou.  Suddenly Momota lands several blows on Akina and he falls back against a tree.  Arisa gets closer to check if he's ok and sees some blood trickling down his face.  She switches into Arisa and takes the sword from Akina, turning on Momota and calling him Underling #100, Momo-chan.  She warns him that the penalty for injuring what's 'hers' is serious, and spars with Momota, as good or better than him. Arisa  recalls several embarrassing moments of his, and with one blow reveals his real pants, with patches on the knees with Momo on them, that he's had since he was little.  She moves in for the final blow but Totomaru jumps onto her head, causing her to change back to Arisa.  Momota notices that compared to a moment before, her stance is wide open, and changes from defense to attack, quickly closing in...

Part 4 (April 2000): In panic, Arisa blindly moves the kendou stick, luckily parrying all of Momota's attacks.  Iyo declares happily that Arisa's kendou skill must unconsciously be moving Arisa's body, and Akina wonders if it's that simple.  Arisa's stick breaks, and it looks like she's done for, so she tries to imitate Dragon Ken, but it fails miserably.  Suddenly Totomaru jumps in front of Momota and blocks his stick.  Apparently Iyo's eyebrow makeover worked ^_^.  Toto then does a Dragon Ryuuseiken properly and finishes off Momota for the interim.  Arisa thanks Totomaru, but is pushed away by Iyo, who is ecstatic about his success.  Akina helps Arisa up, and she asks if he's ok, remembering the blood she saw.  Akina doesn't answer, but just falls over.
While unconscious, he has a dream about Arisa where he tells her he's going to avenge his childhood teasing, when she turns around and is crying.  When he tells her not to, she looks up and is Arisa, saying she was just tricking him.  He asks which Arisa is the real one, and then wakes up.  He's in a house-Arisa's house!  Arisa explains that he had a fever, so Iyo brought him home since they didn't know where hw lived.  She offers her phone so he can call home, but he says he lives alone.  In order to gain their permission to transfer to this school, he told his parents that he would go to whatever high school and university they wanted, and would work wherever they wanted and marry whomever they wanted.  Arisa and Iyo are a bit overwhelmed, and Arisa apologizes.  Akina asks for what, ans Arisa says just for whatever.  Arisa leaves to get Akina a drink, and ponders that Arisa is an important(in a bad way)person to Akina.  She wonders what her other self is like, when...she sees a cockroach!  Akina hears the ear-piercing scream and runs into the kitchen as Arisa runs out.  They collide, with Akina getting the worst of it.  She clings to him even tighter as the cockroach jumps, and Akina embarrassedly tells her to let go of him.  But as the cockroach gets close to them, Arisa reaches her limit and *ping* Arisa appears, flipping in the air and fearlessly crushing the cockroach.  Iyo finally shows up, having just taken a bath, and Akina tells him he feels ill.
Later, Arisa and Akina are talking, and Akina asks why she always changes back when Totomaru gets close to her.  Arisa says she doesn't know, when she sees the dog, she starts remembering something really unpleasant, and then when she next realizes, she's changed back to Arisa, not remembering anything. Arisa wants to know why Akina was fighting with Momota, and Akina says it doesn't concern her.  Arisa gets closer to him and says why not, their relationship has gone as far as kissing.  Akina blushes and tells her to get away, when Totomaru suddenly jumps on Arisa's head, banging her head into Akina's and bringing Arisa back.  She looks up, seeing how close they are, and screaming, swings her chair at Akina's head and making him bleed again.  She apologizes when she realizes what happened, but it's too late, he's out.
The next day, Akina wears an old uniform of Iyo's and looks really good.  He's still mad at Arisa but tells her to call him Akina, it seems to weird for to call him Akina.  When they get to class, Arisa is approached by the whole class, saying they wanted to talk to her more before but were afraid of Matsuda.  Arisa is happy, especially when Inogami smiles at her and tells her that he heard how amazing she was yesterday.  Someone asks Akina where he got the uniform, and unthinkingly he reveals that he stayed at Arisa's house last night.  Arisa is freaking that Inogami will misunderstand again, and Akina follows hiim when he goes out into the hall.  He asks Inogami not to mistake the situation, but Inogami tells him he's not going to listen to him.  Inogami tells Akina that he's never liked him.
At lunch that day, the other girls are satisfied that Arisa and Akina are just old friends, but Arisa is still unhappy about Inogami.  Then the girls start talking about the school festival coming up, and say sometimes famous people come to perform.  One girl hopes that Julie comes, but another says there's no way they would get such a popular idol.  Arisa asks who Julie is, and the girls tell her that's he's an upcoming talent, performing on TV that night.
Cut to the stage, where Julie performs his hit single, Burning Planet.  Backstage, Julie is talking with BOYA(from Scandal Papa) and Ikki asks about the rumour that Julie is transferring to a normal school.  Julie brings out a familiar little sheet with Arisa's name on it and explains that he has a debt to repay...
Watching that night, Iyo asks if all the idols look like that nowadays(Julie is a bit flashy ;) ).

Part 5 (May 2000): The next day at school, some baddies are threatening Matsuda(the girl who used to bully Arisa)when Arisa and Iyo are walking to school.  Iyo doesn't want to do anything, but when Arisa sees a caterpillar, she turns into Arisa and teaches the baddies a lesson, telling them not to touch her underlings.  Matsuda asks why she helped her, and Arisa says she likes Matsuda's 'tough' act.  At school, Akina uses Totomaru to change her back to Arisa before she can do anything to him.  Momota tells Arisa that Akina explained to him about the situation, and he won't bother Arisa again until he's trained some more.  Arisa thanks Akina, when they're interrupted by an announcement by the principal, about the upcoming festival.  He declares that this year the key act will be the newest transfer student to Arisa's class, the hottest new idol Julie!  All the girls go wild, and Julie does a short performance of his hit single, Burning Planet.
In class, all the girls are crowded around Julie except Arisa, because Arisa's only idol is Inogami(gyaa!).  In music class that day, they're hjaving a vocal test, and Arisa is really bad.  No one wants to sing with her until Akina says he will.  After, Julie tells Arisa that she has a very unique sound, and he wants her to be his assistant for the festival.  At first, Arisa says no, even though Julie says she'll only be a part of the backup chorus,  but when she thinks of how Inogami might praise her if she does a good job she agrees.  She thinks that if it turns out well she'll confess to Inogami.
Later, Akina talks to Julie, asking him if he got a letter like the rest of them about Arisa, but Julie acts unkowing.  He says he has nothing against Arisa, though he's not responsible if some of his fans might be jealous of how nice he is to her, and do something to her...
Outside, Julie fans are already moving-Arisa is being threatened by two big guys under the control of Julie's fans.  Luckily, Matsuda's friend Naomi stops them in return for that morning, but suddenly Arisa sees a caterpillar.  By the time Akina, who is led by Totomaru, gets to the scene, Arisa is in control, scaring Julie's fans with catrerpillars.  Akina changes her back with Totomaru, and Arisa thanks Matsuda for saving her.  Matsuda asks for a favour-Naomi is a huge fan of Julie's, and wants his autograph.  Arisa happily agrees.  From a window above, Julie watches, and comments to himself that the real Arisa has appeared, and that his revenge has only started.  The main event will be the festival...
At the festival, Arisa is really nervous, especially because her outfit is pretty skimpy, but when Inogami comes to see how she is, she is elated and states she'll do her best.  In the dark, Akina also came to check on her, but leaves without saying anything, telling himself that Julie's plans have nothing to do with him.  Someone tells Arisa that it's time, and Julie asks her to check the mike height.  She steps onto the stage to do so, when Julie announces to the full auditorium that the live is starting!  The curtain goes up with only Arisa on it, and Julie declares that she's singing the opening number!
