The messed-up love story of Akane(Volume 2 cover) and
Yamato(Volume 3 cover), set in a backwater town.
They've known each other all their lives, but Akane has
liked their friend Sacchin since they were 7 years
old. The story starts when she finds out he's going
out with another good friend, Kayomi, and breaks her
heart. From then on, it's a constant roller coaster
of Yamato hinting that he likes Akane and then pretending
it's a joke, other people confusing the issue, and Akane
trying to figure out what the heck she feels. It
doesn't help that Yamato acts like he doesn't care, and
Akane is about as nibui(unperceptive) as they come.
I ADORE this series.
