Ringo is a girl who's gone through some bad times. Her mom died when she was young, and her dad is not doing too well at work, so they don't have much money. Even so, Ringo never thought she was too badly off, until things got much MUCH worse. First, her dad's company goes bankrupt, so they have to move to Osaka(from Tokyo), incidentally leaving behind the guy Ringo likes, Sakura. A week hasn't gone by when their apartment building burns down! Poor and homeless, Ringo and her dad are taken in by a local family who used to run a boarding house. Ringo can't decide how she feels about their oldest son, Micchan, who is immature and perverted, but really cheerful and friendly. She and Micchan get along well, but when Sakura follows her to Osaka, Ringo wonders who she likes better. Also, Micchan is so nonchalant that Ringo isn't sure if he's serious about her. |
