Do you remember that look on his face
His tender touch and warm embrace
The way he held you all night long
Now please my friend you must be strong
You can’t forget the times he lied
The nights you stayed at home and cried
Waiting by the phone for his call
Broken promises you believed them all
How can you let a stranger deceive your heart
Can’t you see he’s tearing you apart
You’re still holding on to what you don’t know
Now please my friend let him go
You’ve been waiting for him long enough
Forgetting his laugh may be tough
But always remember the things he said
Ignore your heart and follow your head
And in the future if he should ever walk by
Please my friend don’t ever let him see you cry
Just turn around and walk away
This time don’t listen to what he has to say
