Stan Marsh seems to be the central character of South Park because all the events circle around him. Stan is very insulting toward Cartman's weight and doesn't hesitate to say something about it. He is in love with Wendy Testeburger.

Eric Cartman is fat, but he says he isn't, he's big boned. He doesn't like to believe anything that might mean he'll be made fun of. He has a cat that some say his mom uses as a dildo. His trademark: Beefcake! BEEEFCAAAKE!!!

Kyle Broslofski is a jewish boy who likes to kick his little brother like a football. Kyle seems to be the best of friend of Stan because they're always around each other.

Kenny McKormick is always wearing his hood so the viewers of the show hear a muffle when he talks. But the others understand him. He also seems very smart because they ask him questions they don't know the answer to. He knows perverted things, which is probably why the boys like him. Also, he dies every episode.

Chef is the guy the boys look up to. He makes the food at the school cafeteria and likes to sing sexually explicit music.

Mr. Garrison is the school teacher. There's not much to say about him except he has a small hand puppet named Mr. Hat. And he might be gay.
Mr. Hat is constantly talking because Mr. Garrison is obsessed with it because it's probably his only friend, and at times, it seems Mr. Hat is the one controlling Mr. Garrison.

Officer Barbrady is the cop of the town. He seems not to care much about the law. He doesn't want any attention to be directed to anything out of the unusual, and is very forgetful. His motto: To patronize and annoy.

Wendy is the love interest of Stan. She likes him also and seems to be the "little miss perfect" kind of girl. She knows the other three, also.

Ike is Kyle's little brother. Ike is shaped like a football and kicked like one by his big brother. Kyle doesn't always show his love for his brother, but we find out that he really cares about him.

Mrs. Cartman is Cartman's mom. She's doing whatever she can to please her boy by fixing
him strange foods like powdered donuts with pancakes, chocolate pot pies and cheesy poofs.

According to Stan, the bus driver Miss Crabtree is a "fat bitch". She yells at the boys when they talk and is very mean. She also drives erratically.

Stan's sister, Shelly, has a neck brace and is very mean to her brother, mostly because she's bigger than him and she's pissed off about her head gear. According to Stan, she's an evil bitch.

Jimbo is Stan's uncle and the owner of the local gun shop and Ned is his friend and former war vet. Jimbo likes to drink beer and go hunting and seems to only be interested in hunting for the pure joy of killing something because he never does anything with the dead animals.

Ned has cancer so he talks with a voice synthesizer so his voice sounds computerized.

Randy is the seismologist of South Park. He helped saved the city from molten lava. He also likes drinking coffee. He might be Stan's father because they look surprisingly similar.

The Mayor of South Park graduated from Princeton. However, she is more concerned about her image than the well being of the city.

Terrence and Phillip are the cartoons of South Park. They seem to have an obsession with farting and farting on each other. There was also a controversial issue surrounding the cartoon, when parents wanted it shut down.
