Webster High School is located in Webster; Northeast of Rochester in Western New York south of Lake Ontario. Our school has about 2,000 students and staff, and hosts tenth, eleventh and twelfth graders. When you first start out at Spry, you get put into one of two bands. In 7th and 8th grade, you have and �A� day and a �B� day band. In the 9th grade, the two bands unite. The Band is like a regular class period, but when going to a lesson you have to leave a class. We work very hard towards concerts and perfection of the music pieces given to us. The last concert we were subjected to Hercules, Legends in the Mist and The Big Picture. Hercules and The Big Picture contained many parts in them, so they weren�t just one piece. The Instructors Paul Maginn, and Harry Stanton, put a lot of time and effort in helping us reach our perfection of music pieces. They choose the pieces on which music would be hard for us to play, but they know that we can do it. If we start to get down, then they pull us right back up. The concerts are normally great. I really believe that as soon as we get up on stage and perform we are different people. Even if the day before we did really bad on a piece, We perform it almost perfectly it seems. Yes, we do make some mistakes, but who�s really going to find out? Anyways, enough information on the Concert Band at Spry. | |||||||||||||||||
