Well... I was born at La Pitie' - Sal Peteriere Hospital in Paris (where Lady D. found her death), France, as David Stephan Haravon.

My father is a medical Dr., and my mother is a kindergarten teacher. both had no connection with Judaism what-so-ever. well, I'll spare you the little details. At the age of three, we've made our Ali'ya (=jews moving from anywhere in the world to Israel) and settled in Nahariya.

At the age of eight, my parents made a big step toward religion. on my third grade, I've moved to a religious school. but... I've ever remembered the "good life" as a non-religous kid. The thought of getting OUT of the religion never left me.

On my first day in the army, I've finally made my dream come through, and got my KIPA (=this little round piece of cloth wear on the head) off my head. No need to maintain I couldn't care less about my TE'FILIN (=these black squares with straps), which after years in the closet, got mold all over'em.

After an almost-accident which could defenetly cost me my life, I've started believing there IS a god, whom makes the world go round. But all I did since, was putting my KIPA back on. No other changes what-so-ever were taken.

At 1995 I've started my studies at Ort Bruada in Karmiel. At the end of my first year, as a result of not finding a job, I had lots of time for anything. Surprisingly, I've started to have this "heavy" thoughts, about the earth, the universe, and it's creation. After reading some science books, science facts, and theories, which I was very disappointed with BTW, I've started looking for some better answers, and where could I have better looked, then in my own religion? So i did... and i was amazed!

I was amazed of the power and wisdom I've found in my own religion, which i never noticed, even though I came from a religious home. I've started reading some basic books, shamely I have to admit. The first ones where kids' books, but they've hypnotized me, and I couldn't stopp readin'em. The very first book i read, was a book for kids about the Baba-Sally and the ABUCHATZEIRA family.

I've kept reading books. Especially ones regarding Science VS Religion. I've found
my destination in MY religion. What could ever be better than that?

More to come...
