m/y ASTRIDDH 'doing' a lake somewhere in Sweden 1965 (?)

At this time, 1965 (?)Per Degerfors and one of his former army friends just had found this boat somewhere in Sollentuna where it has been extensively abused by local youngsters who thought it to be fun to paint her white and race wherever it was (not) allowed. Per than started to restore her at his best possible knowledge, as the original drawings were not available at all. ALl Forslund drawings are still assumed to be in the hands of the family? However they did quite a lot as you can tell. The non-original rear cabin however was already there ....... Luckily the painted Astriddh was well conserved because of this paint. Meaning less UV-influence on the wood by the sun.

Per arranges for me the transport of Astriddh to the Netherlands. Everything taken care of. Some additional liquor was stashed for future usage by the new Captain (that's me) and his family. Both bottles (ABSOLUT WODKA & CARLSHAMNS FLAGGPUNSCH) still await to be savoured when taking m/y Malala (working title & previous Astriddh) on to the Frysian lakes. We will keep you posted about when that will be........ But don't think it is before end 2000.

"m/y T�RNAN"

A friend of mine recently bought a Forslund named T�rnan. Specifications; 12,05 x 2,25 x 0,75 m is this for me the most beautifull Forslund monster I have ever seen. A huge V8 causes this 'ship' to nearly fly over the lakes. 22 knots is easily done. Be sure to have a gasoline station closeby ......! The interior is even more astounding. Well make sure to be on the frysian lakes somewhere during the summertime and the moment you hear (as happened to me when sailing m/y FOGEL on the Pikmeer close to Grouw) you can happen to see something racing towards you whereafter within a split second it is already gone .......
