Photography is an inseparable part of Konstantin Popdimitrov's oeuvre. It's one of his many tools for conveying ideas and artistic messages. The big “Grand Canyon” series he is presenting us with now is another superb proof of his highly personal artistic approach to landscape photography. The colossal gargantuan creation is viewed as a theater's stage where a dramatic play of light and shadow is developing before our eyes. As somebody already said The Grand Canyon doesn't need us to be what it is, but we probably need it in order to scale ourselves better in the big picture of Creation.

Each Fine Art photograph in this series is a numbered and signed Limited Edition print. Konstantin Popdimitrov personally makes each print, using the finest digital printmaking techniques. For recording the image he uses a traditional film camera and a transparency -slide films. Then he scans the original transparency at high resolution. Color accuracy from print to print is ensured as to replicate the vibrant and brilliant colors found in the original transparency. No color filters or digital manipulation and enhancements are employed.

The outstanding print quality is achieved by using a professional Epson photo printer with UltraChrome archival pigment inks. These inks enable each photograph to last, with its original brilliant color quality, tonal range and sharpness, for over 60 years, much longer than a conventional color print.
