By education commonly is intended that complex of operations addressed to furnish a person, usually the child, every information and norm that are necessary to make him suitable to live according to suggestions and requirements of society in which that person lives.Then, object of education is not to do evolve a person in direction of own fulfillment and to make him happy, but to do in way than person fits into that quantity of unhappiness they come imposed from an advised unalterable system. It results than citizen well educated is not that one who tries to make happy own life and other one's, and fight for it, even against existing situation; but that one who is property adapted to the preponderant system, who accepts it and, by choice, participate to it, avoiding the conflicts with the environment in which he lives and the problems connected to every manifestation of dissent.
It's surprising that all this come advised as logical and natural by a large part of people and nobody perceives the profound and incurable conflict existing among a similar mentality and which the term education means really. If we would attribute to words their true meaning, we should intend by education the set of actions, attitudes and behaviors which help a person to be itself, to realize own personality fully, to progress according to owns developmental lines. It's an operation essentially founded on interpersonal relations, fragile and difficulty, not able to be settled into a prescriptions and rules scheme.
The platforms onto which stirs this questionable "educational" process are substantially two: the output of information sorts by agreement with a definite criterion of functionality to the system, with the obligation to learn them; and the imposition of rules to guarantee a proper use of those information. Because these two operations come realized with the help of automatic persuasion devices of blackmail type, we would say they are equivalent to an ethic, ideological and cultural conditioning.
Who doesn't assimilate notions, determinate and prearranged to him, is a useless person; but who doesn't observe the rules, is a dangerous person. And the main rule is the adaptation to uses in force.
THE UNCONDITIONED ACCEPTANCE OF PRESENT, PRECISELY THE ADAPTATION TO THE PREPONDERANT SYSTEM AND TO ITS DEMANDS, EXCLUDES THE HYPOTHESIS OF A DIFFERENT FUTURE.
The resignation of citizen is the base onto which the conservation of power and uses, wished by the power, stands up.
Nobody, I think, done exception for crazy person and maniac, imprecate the lasting triumph of war, social injustice, hunger, pain, fear and desperation. But these are the inevitable fruits of our social organization, past, present and future. An amelioration, which is as say a change, of human condition, couldn't depart from the consolidation of today's institutional reality. It must be founded upon tomorrow's man, that one who will be able to realize a real educational and auto-educational rapport. It must be founded upon an open-minded and reasonable man, but, above all, a FREE man.
It depends from the attitude engaged in front of the educational commitment. We could try to give them the useful implements to evolve: the opportunity to do experience, the tenderness, the example, and above all, the freedom. In this case, we are working to make man be itself, completely, therefor, original, independent, autonomous, "new", able to do anything that has not been assayed ever before. To be able to do this choice, it need to be sustained by the hope than human condition must change. Not only, it need to believe in the amelioration of our destinies and the possibility to obtain it. Otherwise, we would try to make them similar to an existing model, using any method. In this circumstance we are working to create a servile man, resigned, always dependent from any kind of power, repetitive, unprovided of creativeness and inventive ability, obedient and passive. Select this choice mean be afraid that human condition could change, because each change would be an open door to the bad. We think than the worse had been gained yet, and, without the courage of rebellion and renewal, we will continue to be consumed in the hell we have created. We think than without courage is impossible live like man. We think than the fear is the worst condemnation of man, and than is immoral overturn our terrors upon the shoulders of our sons. Even if it's presented like education.
