What is Homeopathy?

The aim of homeopathy is to cure an illness or disorder by treating the whole person, rather than merely concentrating on a set of symptoms. Hence, in homeopathy the approach is holistic and the overall state of health of the patient, especially his or her emotional and psychological well-being, are regarded as being very significant.

A homeopath notes the symptoms that the person wishes to have cured, but also takes time to discover other signs or indications of disorder which the patient may regard as being less important.

"The reasoning behind this is that illness is a sign of disorder or imbalance within the body

It is believed that the whole 'make up'of a person determines, to a great extent, the type of disorders to which that individual is prone, and the symptoms likely to occur
