Most Europeans I've met thus far on the web are rather well informed about this country, often even know quite a lot about my home-town. Also the knowledge of Asians, South Americans and Australians in general about Europe is not bad at all...

But most Americans should really be ashamed of themselves. They know little or nothing about the world they live in.
