These photographs were done during my beginning years as a professional photographer in the late 1970's.
Baltimore, Maryland is my base. From here is where the wonderful people of this state choose my
photographs over others to win first prize in the annual Afram Festival two years straight. I won first prize with a Black and White photograph of my late pastor, The Reverend Wendell Philips in 1973 and then in 1974, I won first
prize at Afram Festival for a Black and White photograph of my daughter, Delecia. Some other works I have done
were for Kwesi Mfume, Congressman Parren Mitchell, Coretta S. King, Dick Gregory, Horace Silvers, Thelonous Monk,
Former Governor Harry Hughes, Gordon Parks, Former Mayor Donald Schaffer, and more.
