Whoever gets on the P-train, would become Korean
common person. There is no discrimination of social status at all.
Instead, close intimacy and comfortness. The drunken young
become meek in the presence of the older rural men, and the loud
chattering of the talkative women is nothing but a craddle song.
City dwellers never imagine acting against these cultural regularities.
We who live in the metropolitan area, can't endure disturbances
caused by others. Thus, to the urbanese who are worn by everyday
lives, the P-train was an unfamiliar stranger and an womb of
mother as well.
Old women in the train which runs between Kwangju and Pusan. After a hot political argument abut ex-Presidents, their discussion returns to the subject of their ordinary lives, in no time.; care of their children and farmery.
A child who goes to see his grandma with mom, and young sisters who go to the maternal grandma's home in the countryside. While following this path, they make reflections about their grandma and grow lyricism of their birthplaces.
There are three kinds of P-train station levels based on the existence or nonexistence of a stationmaster and station crew. If there are both, it becomes a fine ordinary station. And if there is no stationmaster and just a crew, it's an arrangement simple station. Neither stationmaster nor crew, it's a nonarrangement simple station. If there is either one of them anyway, the passengers are able to have composure to take breath.
Mrs Ha, aged 81, lives in Hadong, Kyungnam. Her two sons live in the nearby city Pusan, But because her sons usually get traffic-jammed on the way to see her, she now goes to see them on the big national holidays. Her sack was full of sticky rice, mushrooms, sesame oil, wild sesame and oister to feed the families of her two sons.
