This O.T.(Organization Todt)sergeant is wearing the Streifendienst gorget. The lanyard attached to his right breastpocket indicates he is a platoonleader. The task of the Streifendienst was to make sure the troops behaved themselves while out on the streets and that they did not stay out after curfew.
