The Hunter
|
A deepened, lonely woods, Set forth against the night Where living columns filter, All but the strongest light.
Shadows set on shadows, A whisper of a breeze A lonely owl flies, Through ever thicker trees.
A single, silent hunter, That rides the winds of time Pauses as it catches scent, Of prey amidst the pine.
The cougar crouches, motionless, Upon a mountain high. Tow'ring high above the plains, Beneath a saphire sky.
