Sisyphean tasks
Will whip slumberous sleep
Breathless is the road
That finds eternity
Mediocre crimes
That smother life's core
Death is the desire
She'll love nothing more.

I don't know you anymore
Icy droplets fall from your frigid lips
Rising from your frozen heart
My own heart is achingly empty for you
Hollow nothingness
Where once a seed blossomed
Rare, refined, resplendent
Where once I found a buried treasure
Your barren caverns echo my silence
Wrenching pain tumbles through my tortured chest
And resonates deep within the chasm of my soul
I don't know you anymore
