My Opinion On: Life: Is about others and I, and not I and others. Time: Once it's gone, it's the past, and it will NEVER come back; so treasure every moment you have. Love: It's the sweetest thing in the world, but it also hurts the most. Friendship: Treat others the way you want them to treat you, but never expect anything back. People: Honestly? 95% on personality, 5% on looks. Problem: A problem is dead until YOU make it alive. Lieing: It's the biggest crime of all.
My Little Thoughts:
Emotions:
* If you are going to hide it, hide it good.
* We don't need a reason to smile.
* Even if you are feeling blue, smile for others. =)
* Don't think TOO much, or you will only get sick in the heart.
Friendships:
* Tell a friend that you believe in him/her.
* Give friends a hug once in awhile.
* Sometimes caring is in words, sometimes in silence.
* Be a friend, and not make a friend.
* Let friends know that you care.
* When you give them 100% of your heart, don't expect that they will do the same; do things for friends without expecting anything in return.
Life:
* It's really really short... Just hold on to what you have.
* You never know what you might lose the next day; treasure others while they are still there.
* Always keep an open mind.
* Be mature enough to know you still have a lot to learn.
* There is no such rule that anyone has to be nice to you.
* 10% is what happens in life, 90% is your action toward it.
* "You don't win by beating someone else. We defined winning as doing your very best. That way, everyone
is a winner." ~Mike T.
Love:
* Love with your heart, and not with your eyes.
* Memories are all one should ask for, move on when love is gone.
* Why start anything when you know there is no ending?
People:
* A lot of us are not as simple as how we seem to be.
* Don't judge a book by its cover.
* I am a nobody when it comes to the world as a whole.
Words:
* It doesn't matter what others say; but how YOU take it in.
* There is no such word as "un-say".
* The tone of voice speaks louder than the words.
* Don't just listen to what I am saying, but as well as what I am NOT saying.
* "Speak honestly, be brief, and listen from the heart." ~Ojai
* "Thought comes before speech." ~Lakota
From Hugh Prather: of his book "Notes to Myself"...
* "But it's morning. Within my hands is another day. Another day to listen and love and walk and glory. I
am here for another day. I think of those who aren't."
* "The rainbow is more beautiful than the pot at the end of it, because the rainbow is now. And the pot never
turns out to be quite what I expected."
* "'Next time I will...' 'From now on I will...' ---What makes me think I am wiser today than I will be
tomorrow?"
* "The key to motivation is to look at how far I have come rather than how far I have to go."
* "I live from one tentative conclusion to the next, thinking each one is final. They only thing I know for
sure is that I'm confused."
* "My trouble is I analyze life instead of live it."
* "I don't need a 'reason' to be happy. I don't have to consult the future to know how happy I am now."
* "At first I thought that to 'be myself' meant simply to act the way I feel. I would ask myself a question
such as, 'What do I want to say to this person?' and very often the answer was surprisingly negative. It seemed that
my negative feelings were always the ones I noticed first, possibly because I feared having to act them out. However,
as I continued practicing I saw that below these were more positive feelings---if I was still long enough to look
deeply. The more I attempted to 'be me' the more 'me's' I found there were. Now I understand that to be myself
means consciously choosing which level of my feelings I am going to respond to and recognizing that, whatever I am
feeling, I am always free to think carefully rather than carelessly about myself and those around me."
* "If I feel disapproval of someone, if I find myself ignoring or turning away from someone in a group, I am
probably avoiding in myself what this person represents that I believe is true about me."
* "I don't exist to like, but I do exist to love. Contrary to liking, love demands nothing in return."
