Good Shepherd Tamil Church is one of the popular Tamil Churches in Toronto. It is a
religious organization registered with the provincial government with the charities
division of the Ministry of Attorney General. It is also accepted by Revenue Canada as a
Non-Profit Religious Organization. The Annual audited statements of account are sent
every year for scrutiny by the Department in Ottawa.
They meet for worship at the Wilmar Heights Baptist Church which is conveniently located at 1687 Victoria Park Avenue, Scarborough, Ontario (Victoria Park/Lawrence Avenue East). Services in Tamil are held at 3:00 PM on the second and Fourth Sundays of the month.
Our church is open to everyone who loves the Lord, and who wish to worship the Lord. Our goal is to help our community to spiritually grow in the Lord.
They also meet every month for a spiritual Bible study, which is conducted by Rev. Benji Devadasan, Rev. Bobby Mather, Brother David Doraisamy and Brothers Sarwathayaparan Ponniah and Victor Paul. The remarkable thing about the church is that they have a very strong choir led by the chairman Yogan Mather. They have special Easter Bajans on the Easter Saturday, and the Christmas carol service on the third Saturday of December. The Choir Director is Yogan Mather.
