Andy is in China right now, he goes there for the meeting of HK turn-back 97'. He is the only one of the HK artists go to this meeting. The other purpose to go to China, because his new song "Chinese People" MTV is taking place over there. *** special thanx to reporter Ada =)
April 1997 ------Andy has asked Aaron to be in his movie, Full Throttle 2. Well, Aaron has refused, saying he is too busy. Andy went to China to meet Jiang Zemin a while ago. Went there with a whole group of people, but he was the only entertainment figure. He said he went because of the Hong Kong takeover. *** special thanx to reporter Amy =)
On 5th & 6th of April, ANDY WORLD CLUB formed a camp with about 300 fans at WU KAI SHA in SHATIN. And his shaped CD which showed his face was sold in Hong Kong. The cost is $300. But the CD was only sold at ANDY WORLD CLUB HONG KONG. All the money except spending goes to ANDY LAU CHARITY FOUNDATION LIMITED. *** special thanx to reporter Ivy =)
About 6 years ago, Andy enrolled in an action movie. One secne, he needed to be burnt. Accedently, his feet caught the fire and had to sleep in hospital for a few days. *** special thanx to reporter Casey =)
In Taiwan, Andy has two new shaped CD's besides the Andy head and China one. One is a blanket shaped one and one is a racer's helmet one. *** special thanx to reporter Tiffany =)
1.) According to China (Night) Times, Andy was invited by people in Beijing to perform at a ceremony to celebrate Hong Kong going back to China on July 1st. But Andy said that he did not officially receive an invitation yet, but if he does, he cannot promise yet that he will attend, he says it's all up to what his record company plans for him. Right now Andy is in Korea so they can't be sure of his reply, but according to Andy's schedule, he should be in Hong Kong during that time, so he shouldn't have a reason to refuse Beijing. Also, a lot of other Hong Kong singers have already agreed to attend all the celebration ceremonies during the period from June 25th until July 15, including the Jacky Cheung, Aaron Kwok, and Leon Lai. 2.) Andy will be staying in Taiwan for the promotion of his new Mandarin album from the end of April to May for a month. 3.) On the late night of April 21st, the killer whale that lives in Ocean Park Hong Kong named "Hai Wei" suddenly died of an illness. This is the same whale that Andy became attached to during his filming of "Chan Shun Chuan Suo" (Chinese pronounciation of the movie name, I forgot the English name for it). After the filming of this movie, every year on "Hai Wei's" birthday, Andy would always go visit his good friend at Ocean Park, but he hasn't seen her for a year now. He is probably unable to attend her cremation and funeral because he will be in Taiwan during that time. Also, because this is the year of the Ox, Andy's zodiac, he is not suppose to attend any funerals. Andy's new Mandarin MTV is also out, but I don't know if you've seen it yet. And since Andy is coming soon, there should be a lot of news on him in the next month and he'll definitely be on TV a lot. On May 3 (Saturday), Andy is going to have a big party/meeting exclusively with his fans in "Andy Lau Fan Club" in Taipei!!!!! There will be some souvenirs on sale there that will be sold on that day only. There is going to be some "Andy Lau Fan Club" members from all over Asia coming in to attend this. *** special thanx to reporter Tiffany =)
To all Andy's fans(esp those from Singapore), Andy has released a few 'shape CDs' namely, 'zui pa ni gen bie ren shui', 'qing shen de a yi ju', coming up are 'dao juan di qiu', mei ci xing lai' etc..... So Pang earned Andy's "first time"? Andy said in the interview in "HK Commerical Radio", "Actually I have directed some of my MTVs." Would he direct some of his movies? He said," I have never. Directing a movie is stressful, have to worry about the box office. If I do, I would direct some kind of movie that has good returning, like those "Koo Wa Jai" series. It's because more people would ask you to direct movies if you get good returnings. So, I would not make some artistic movies when I just start." Besides, he was asked why he doesn't get married. Is that because of worrying about his image. He explained, " I am not afraid that geting marry would have impact on my image. Acutally I alway think it's necessary. If I am getting marry, the ceremony would be the same as normal person, except the wedding dinner. I have so many friends. I don't want to make them angry if I forget to invite them. Andy said, he was responsible for presenting the "Best Actress Award" in the ceremony, but people are speaking what he's supposed to say! He answered some calls from the audience in the Radio station and some audience told him not to go this kind of ceremony. Even if he just go for presenting award, he shouldn't speak. Andy said, they are following what they are told to, it's only for fun. They didn't really mean to stop him talking. He said he didn't expect somebody would misunderstead and think it's true. Andy said, now his dreams have multiple directions. He wishes to continue his career development in movies, and possibly to be a director. But he doesn't know if he has the ability. On the other hand, he also aimed at writing books. Years ago he thought of writing a novel of "cloning men", but people said it's too inrealistic. It's unbelievable that it's happening in reality. He said, he doesn't like to create troubles because of being a superstar. So, he would play Bowling in Bowling center just like normal people. Although those guys in his company don't like it, he doesn't think a reason for not doing these. He tried to ride a bike from his home to Mong Kok. His riding skill used to be not very good, but after this experience, it is improved. Because he told himself he couldn't fall when he was riding, otherwise it would be so shameful. He was wearing sunglasses for bikers and a cap so nobody recognize him, the feeling was comfortable. When asking him on his romance, he said, when he has a family in the future, he wishes to spend 2 thirds of time on his family, and 1 third on his career. It's hard for him to find his another half, because it takes time to understand each other. And the biggest problem to be his girlfriend or wife is that she would be facing a lot of people that resist and dislikes their being together, including his fans. well he was in Korea on 17th of April to promote his movie and for autography session for release of "Moment of Romance 3" which only recently got released there. He was only there for a short while as he left on 18th.
