books
I only started reading fanatically about four years ago. I started out with murder mystery, such as the Prey series by John Sanford and Alex Cross series by James Patterson. I really enjoyed both series very much. I used to stay up till early morning smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee and reading those novels. There is nothing more enjoyable than that. I don't know which kept me up more the coffee or the books.
I have recently started going back to read some of the classic authors to find out why they are actually classics. Kerouac and Hemingway are two of the ones I have started with. On the Road is very good by Kerouac, but I was rather bored with Maggie Cassidy and Dharma Bums. Sun also Rises by Hemingway was absolutely great. I enjoyed every minute of that book, but fell asleep many times to Over the River and Through the Woods ( I can't even remember if that is the actual title ).
My brother Mike gave me a book entitled Boy's Life by Robert McCammon that I recommend for anyone! The plot and suspense is just totally exciting.
Other good books: Brotherhood of the Rose, Fraternity of the Stone, and Fifth Profession all by David Morrell. Choke by Stuart Woods. Just Killing Time by Van Arch.
