Artist throughout history have statistically out lived the general population (with the exception of those who have been killed by accident). It is my belief that this longevity is based upon the fact that artists view the world they live in through different eyes, haveing a continuing quest to fulfill, which seperates them from the general population. This purposeful strugle forces the mind to look beyond the normal, to find beauty or emotion in that which they see in everday life, which keeps the mind active and alive, which in turn keeps the body alive.
