PIXIES RECORDINGS AVAILABLE TO TRADE :
Charles recorded in his dorm room, playing 4 never released songs before even forming the pixies, the quality is quite rough but for something this rare its worth putting up with the dodgy distorted recording!

the pixies live at Glastonbury festival 1989 doing one of their famed alphabetical set lists, it's an audience recording of exceptional(ish) quality probably matching that of the "Subbacultcha" bootleg* I dont think this is the same as the "the pixies live" L.P. the bootleg not the promo) if it is then its been recorded from the master and not the vinyl as there is NO record noise. it also features the stage announcer coming on stage at the end and apologising for the fact that the pixies cant do any encores and saying which bands are coming up next. track listing as follows 1 bone machine 2 cactus 3 caribou 4 crackity jones 5 dead 6 debaser 7 gigantic 8 gouge away 9 hey 10 I bleed 11 isla de encanta 12 levitate me 13 mr grieves 14 monkey gone to heaven 15 nimrods son 16 no 13 baby 17 river euphrates 18 tame 19 there goes my gun 20 vamos 21 wave of mutilation (u.k. surf ) 22 where is my mind this was also mastered from a cassette so theres a glitch at the begining of tame where the tape was turned over (it misses about half a bar)
1989 black francis doing wave of mutilation on tv (he very entertainingly sings the guitar solo part).
1990 black doing a live acoustic solo show during the bossanova era at "The Borderline" london this is not the "The Dream Is Over" bootleg and I have personaly never come across any recording of this gig anywhere except at the small tape stand where I purchased it (the seller claimed to have personally recorded it himself ! ). this is the set list for the borderline gig (2nd Nov 1990): 1 tame 2 cactus / tonys theme 3 this monkeys gone to heaven 4 there goes my gun 5 manta ray 6 I'm amazed 7 dead 8 weird at my school 9 is she weird 10 wave of mutilation 11 the happening 12 levitate me 13 i bleed 14 river euphrates 15 broken face 16 holiday song 17 in to the white 18 mr grieves 19 blown away 20 gouge away 21 down to the well 22 allison 23 no 13 baby 24 crackity jones 25 dancing the manta ray the quality of this recording (which I took of tape to dat the first time I played it) is probably about the same as the "the dream is over" cd.

"ed is dead"-this one I got quite recently at a record fair its got 1998 as the release date and is on cdr but features astoundingly good artwork printed on photographic paper and is a recording from december 22nd 1991 in los angeles. the set features eric drew on keyboards it is quite similar to situation red but with better sound quality and more songs ( the only live recordings of Alec Eifel, D=RxT, Letter To Memphis and Lovely Day that I have well I think so anyway!).
Ive also got the "pixies rare" french promo which is very hard to get now, and features the only official cd release of "rock 'a' my soul" and "down to the well" from the sounds 7" putting an end to those awful versions on "rough diamonds" and "the b-side file"
