I have a friend called Tetsuo Yamamoto who is a retired Air Traffic Controller who lives outside Tokyo. I visited Tokyo last Novemeber and we went for the day to Niko with his wife to visit the Shrine and the waterfall. | |||||||||||||||

My Office is in the control tower building in the middle of Heathrow Airport. Heathrow is the bussiest international airport in the world with more than 1300 aircraft movements from its two runways a day. As the head of operations I am mainly responsible for the maintenance and development of ATC procedures and incident investigations. I have been in this post for 2 years, before that I was an operational controller at Heathrow for 10 years and a controller at Manchester Airport for around 5 years before that. | |||||||||||||||

I had 5 days in Yokohama earlier this year, its a nice city, quite compact. This was on the first day - I had just spent 12 hours on an aircraft so I was a bit jet lagged !! | |||||||||||||||
