ART FOUND ALL OVER THE WORLD

For many years, I have been in the medical field working with patients of all sorts. The ones that struck home to me with a magnum force, have been the Hospice patients and families I have worked with. Many of these patients are frightened and aware of their eventuality. For some, it comes too soon and too quickly. Unable to get all their buusiness and affairs finished in time, causes anxiety and mistrust in some. I have written a guide book, which should help with the questions and signs and symptoms that most of us will face at that time. Please view these pages, as there are many ideas for remedies and answers to questions we will all face.

This flower is for the spring days to come.......to brighten my days......

This friend to to guide your way to my other pages........and there are many..........

This heart to to you........to show how much I thank you for visiting my pages........

I have interspaced graphics from all over the word I think you may enjoy, pleasing, oriental art work that I have scanned up from books, the internet, and the library. I mean for these to be beautiful and pleasing to the eye. I mean for these to help ease any upset while trying to give suggestions to help the dying patient. Please e-mail me with any concerns.----Mari

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE PATIENT CAN NOT BREATHE RIGHT?

First, elevate the head of the bed, if the patient can not breathe, then keep the room as cool as the patient can tolerate. Keeping the room the patient is in comfortable for us, may not be comfortable for them. Sometimes a fan aimed at the patient will help circulate air. Call the doctor for some medication that may help with pain or anxiety that he or she may have. Let them tell you how they feel and if there is anything they need. If the patient slips off pillows, you can place large couch pillows under the mattress itself, to elevate the head of the bed. Keeping him or her pulled up in bed so the bend of the body is at the waist and not in the center of the back, helps.
