God as Our Gardener

Our soil worked with our own hands alone, will not attain the necessary nutrients for spiritual growth

When we are strong with self will we are weak in spirit

Let god be our farmer, he will supply what we need to thrive

He gives us the subsistence that allows our seeds to sprout

His light is the sun that warms our souls

Oft times we take back our will causing us drought, he rains down on us with everlasting adoration

He is always with us, and always has been

All we need do is open our hearts and receive him

About our destiny we need not understand

He communicates his will for us, if only we would listen

All we need do is remain open, thus we may read the signs given us

Perhaps some day our souls he will harvest

A wondrous thing indeed, we will rejoice in his grace, bask in his wisdom

Till such time we can do ought but what we were chosen to do

With god as our farmer we grow so we may end our fast at the harvest feast
