The Spiritual Quest
It is oft times difficult to unlearn what we have been taught
The demons of the past have taken shelter deep within us
And we wonder at the fact that there is so much pain in the world
Due to the condition of our spirits, we are not at peace with ourselves
We have a tendency to look at things from a dismal perspective
Just think of where that kind of thinking has taken us in the past
Perhaps a new way of living is required
Where we may find at least some peace or serenity
God does not always come to us like a blinding flash of light
He is most often much more subtle
Spirituality is a seed He plants in us
All that is required is that we keep an open mind
Trust in those who have achieved what we want to obtain
The seed will then grow and God can take his place in our hearts
