trickles down my cheek
As
I watch from a distance

pain so intense
With
unyielding desire to comfort

possible
For
I am too close
To
the source of your pain

can only watch
As
your sorrow unfolds
Into
deep despair
Engulfing
your soul
I
can only imagine
Your
reignited self doubt
Your
anguish over love unreturned
Out
of your realm I must stay
For
my presence would only twist the knife of agony

I shall weep for you my friend

I will pray for your heart to mend
And
I will believe that some day

will be able to love again
