To know the dreams I have of you
Are dreams never to come true
The wishes I wish with all my heart
Are ones that will break my heart.
 
If only you could see
With you is where I long to be
That the love I feel for you is true
Never ever meant to make you blue.
 
I never a burden wanted to be
Has that what my love has come to be?
Tis only happiness I wanted for you
Plus everything that's shared by two.
 
But now you say to me
Tis free I want to be.
Exactly what does this mean?
Is it goodbye for you and me?
 
Those words put fear within my heart
How can I live when we're apart?
What do I do with this love I feel?
When to only you it's all I want to give.
 
If setting you free is what I must do
And bury the love I have for you
Then freedom is what I give to you
May you never forget my love for you.
 
And as through this life you go
May nothing ever make you blue
May only happy memories there always be
Tis what I wish from me to you.
 
And if you ever think of me
And wonder where I might be
Tis here I'll be waiting for you
With a love forever true.
